Typically, you should call as soon as you have a signed Purchase Agreement. The Inspection Contingency section of your signed agreement will state the inspection(s) that were agreed upon and the number of days you have to get the inspection(s) completed and respond to the sellers.

We will ask you to provide us with the property address and inspection contingency period. We will also ask for additional details about the property so we can get you an accurate quote for the inspection being ordered. For example, year built, square footage, how many bedrooms and bathrooms, furnace type, water heater type, fireplaces, etc.

On average the home inspection will last three to 3.5 hours. Much depends on factors such as the size of the home, components of the property, findings, and client participation.
