[Dan]nOriginal text follows:n-----------------------------------nMonday, 4/1/24 3:10PM: Folks, I hate to say it, but Tuesday is not looking good. Last night I said that there was a decent chance that they'd shift the severe zone northward to include us, and this system now appears poised to bring us an outbreak of severe weather on Tuesday, particularly late afternoon and evening. nnI won't mince words and just say that in my 13+ years of running DWS, I don't recall seeing a severe weather situation with worse potential for Ohio, including our entire coverage area. Unless something changes in a radical way, it is fair to say that very high winds, very large hail, and numerous tornadoes (some of them potentially large) can be expected in our state on Tuesday. It's especially unnerving given Wednesday is the 50th anniversary of the EF-5 tornado that hit Xenia. In bringing that up, I do not mean to compare the two storm systems, but I do mean to directly imply that tomorrow's system also has potential to bring historic weather to our area. This situation needs to be taken very seriously.nn...Strong to severe storms will form/move across our area tonight around 10PM, and will continue through around 8AM. From there we should see a mix of clouds and sunshine with a few spotty storms. By late afternoon a line of strong storms will begin forming west of our area, becoming stronger as it crosses Ohio. The timing of this line is still in question, and I'll have more-detailed timing information by tomorrow morning as well as any updates to these maps from the SPC.
