Not all jobs go smoothly but it's all about how good you are at pivoting & troubleshooting. This project in Fairfax had all types of surprises. Started as an interior waterproofing job but then... 1. Found a floating slab, good 4-6" gap all the way underneath the slab. So we had to use a special slurry concrete mix to pump underneath the slab to provide new support throughout. 2. Bowed foundation wall! Required carbon fiber straps to ensure wall does not continue bowing in. 3. Footing 4'? 5'? 6'? deep? Dug ~4' and still could not find footing so we had to redesign how to anchor the carbon fiber straps. Despite these unexpected issues, we worked closely with engineer and continued to find ways to move the project along.
