At this home in Seattle, we were called out because of a clog in the dishwasher drain, which was causing water to come out of the air gap. The customer informed us that the sink was draining fine. We replaced the discharge line coming off the air gap and into the garbage disposal. For this project, our technician removed and disposed of the old discharge pipe, replacing it with a new piece of black poly, and attached it to the existing air gap and garbage disposal. Once the installation was complete, a test cycle was run through the line to check for proper function.
