How Long Will the Staining Last?

We have been applying this stain and seal system for 9 years now and we have gathered a few things about how the longevity of our coating systems. Out coating application is a 5 coat process between the penetrating primer, acrylic stains, and the final clear coats to protect the finish from wear. We recommend to re seal the surface every three to four years with one clear coat to keep the surface protected, however, some customers prefer to wait longer to achieve a more worn look.

How Often Should a Concrete Driveway Be Sealed?

In order to extend the life of a concrete driveway and protect it from water penetration, it should be sealed three to four years with one clear coat. However, you may wait longer if you like a more worn look.

What Are the Benefits of Concrete Resurfacing?

Concrete resurfacing is a good option to add new texture to an old slab of concrete if the concrete is not damaged beyond repair and prevents the hassle of going through the tear out process, for example, if you have an old worn pool deck that needs to be improved you have the option to tear out the concrete and poor new concrete but it comes with the cost and potential risks of having to re-due the existing pool tile and potentially damaging the interior of the pool for the removal process. Overlays also have higher PSI strength than regular concrete.

How Long Do You Have to Stay Off Concrete After Sealing?

In general, it should take up to 10-12 hours to dry before you walk on the sealed concrete. However, it will take up to 48 hours to harden following the application. If the concrete is sealed with epoxy coating, it should not be wet, walked on, or driven on for a minimum of 36-48 hours.

Is Sealer Environmentally Friendly?

A water-based concrete sealer is typically considered to be the most environmentally friendly option. Such products are safe to use without compromising durability, performance, and equality.
