When can I drive on my new asphalt surface?

While it may take over 30 days to fully cure, you can cautiously drive on the surface after two to three days, though tire scuff marks may occur if not careful.

When should I seal coat my new driveway or parking lot?

Once your new driveway or parking lot has cured, typically 30 - 60 days after installation. Once its dry and clean you may apply seal coat to asphalt surface.

Is sand required for application?

Yes, include clean silica sand in the mix design. Sand provides slip resistance, assists with drying, and enhances the durability of the sealcoating material.

Differences between crack filling and crack sealing?

Asphalt crack sealing and filling are basically the same procedures. Both involve cleaning and filling cracks with a hot, rubber sealant that solidifies to seal the crack. Occasionally, "crack sealing" refers to resealing a previously filled crack that has re-opened on the surface. Cutting Edge Asphalt provides solutions for sealing asphalt cracks and preventing further damage, regardless of the terminology used.
