What should I look for on a builder's site?

Websites are listed for 22 of the 24 builders on this page. Look for houses finished years ago rather than renderings, a named list of the plans they build, and a clear statement of which counties they work in. A gallery with no addresses and no plans is a portfolio you cannot check.
