Time has taught us that products by Benjamin Moore, California Paints, and Mad Dog Primers consistently provide the most impressive results. High performance paints are just as important as an experienced painter. We refuse to endorse products that use low quality resins, coarse additives, and harsh solvents. Requests for an alternate brand of paint will be considered at our discretion, but the use of cheap paints sold at big-box stores will not qualify for our warranty.

Using a clean rag, rub a small amount of denatured alcohol onto the wall in an inconspicuous area. If the paint softens or becomes dull, the paint is latex based. If the paint seems to suffer no changes in appearance, it is an alkyd based paint. The majority of walls will be covered with a latex based paint; doors and trim are the most common areas to find oil based paints.

Latex based paints are dry to the touch in 1-3 hours depending on temperature and humidity levels. However, paint is not fully cured until 24-36 hours after application. We do not recommend hanging wall fixtures or attempting to clean newly painted surfaces until a full cure-time has elapsed.
