We have been busy photographing a Lisle kitchen remodeling project! All of the photos of projects on our website are our own. We utilize a professional photographer to capture many of our projects once completed. This project has not been uploaded to our website yet...so here's a sneak peek. There were many facets to this remodel. We addressed the kitchen, laundry room and powder room, which were adjacent to the kitchen. The kitchen was a classic, elegant for the time, late 70s kitchen. Soffits, dark cabinetry, a high end porcelain sink....in orange. The cooktop was on the island with an enormous stainless steel hood hovering above it. Very heavy. Across from the sink area, beyond the island, was the refrigerator and the no longer popular kitchen desk. The inset photo, merely a quick i Phone camera shot while out with our photographer, shows the clean updated look utilizing our custom Amish cabinetry line. The wood is grey elm - isn't it gorgeous???? It's a very popular choice with a rich grain and natural finish look. Top on the list for this Lisle remodeling project was the removal of the soffits and the relocation of the cooktop. Now the cabinetry is hung at the ceiling, allowing for more storage space. The once looming exhaust hood is gone, opening the sight lines into the family room, and the island can be an additional workspace instead of the primary, centrally focused, cooking space.
