The summer moving season is finally over, and things have returned to a somewhat calmer pace (with off peak pricing!!!). Still, we have some great shlepping going on over here--just look at these pics! More than in any other year, we have made tremendous progress in our business. The biggest leap forward was taking the arcane process of filling out forms in triplicate to a new, modern, tablet-based method. If you've moved in the past, you've probably been given a yellow or pink carbon copy of your moving documents. Unbelievably, this is still par for the course in the industry and it's quite ridiculous that companies still do business this way. It's slow, disorganized, and bad for the environment. We spent a long-time researching solutions, and decided to do much of the coding and development in house. It's a sickness, perhaps, but I love doing flow charts and coding business solutions! Now when we arrive at a job, our customers can view their order on a tablet or phone, and are instantly provided with PDF copies of their moving documents. What do you think movers should focus on?
