The Alington hotel is located in the Tenderloin district of San Francisco. This mixed-use building was constructed in 1907. The building provides long-term residential hotel on the floors above & commercial storefront spaces at the street level.nnStudio Nabena was hired by Tenderloin Housing Clinic, a 2nd time lessor at the Alington hotel. The intent was to provide a future long term office space for the supportive service team.nnThe spatial program provided includes: an open office for 14 employees, private offices for 4 managers, breakroom/kitchenette, storage, janitor closet, reception, & waiting area.nnThe main highlight of this project, other than the spatial program requirement, was to provide a water mitigation strategy to address the persistent water lntrusion from the residential hotel units above.nnTo address this, we created a drop-down plenum space with a built-up TPO over 1/2...
