There is a number of different pruning techniques used to help preserve your tree longer. Crown reduction, Structure Pruning, General DDD maintenance (Dead,Diseased,Deranged) to name a few. Do not lion tail trees like in the photo (removing all the lower branches), it makes the trees top heavy. This tree started to get top heavy over the house and driveway behind me. We took care of it.
