Many lawn care companies start to lose the personal touch and quality when they grow big, we think it's because they don't have a growth model that makes room for personal touch. You can't focus on "getting more lawns" because that leaves the customer out of the equation. But if your growth model is to launch more branches, and branch performance is based on the right things (not only short term profits) - and systems and metrics for monitoring customer satisfaction and customer engagement, then the customer becomes central to the business. Each branch should reach an "ideal" size which allows for a family feel, personal relationships with the customers - big enough to make financial sense and turn a profit, small enough to be manageable AND fun to manage. As we discover what this ideal size is, we can then work on reproducing that exact same branch across the country in many areas.
