Dead rabbit in the wall?? Our company was called to come inspect for a possible dead animal in the wall. First, we confirmed it was in-fact a dead animal from the smell. Next, we checked the attic to see if the animal died in the attic but no luck. We then followed the smell down into the wall where we were able to cut through and remove. We quickly figured out that it was a dead RABBIT!! of all things. This is very unusual because this is a concrete slab foundation home... there is no crawlspace for the animal to climb up from underneath. The only area on the house that was open was on the roof. This means it came from the roof, into the attic, & into the wall. How?? Our best guess: A predator picked the rabbit up and dropped it on the roof. Panicking, the rabbit made its way into the attic from an open attic vent. From there, it made its way down into the wall, where it was stuck, and passed. We have never seen this before and thought it was very interesting!
