FAQs

When should my pool water be recycled/filtered?

When your calcium level exceeds 400 ppm, or cyanuric acid exceeds 100 ppm, or you just want that soft water feel and the peace of mind that your pool has optimal levels of sanitation!

What impurities does the Pur Pool Water process remove or lower?

Our process removes or lowers calcium (hardness), chlorine, sodium chloride, cyanuric acid, manganese, magnesium, nitrates, and phosphates, as well as viruses and bacteria.

Does Reverse Osmosis work for algae?

If you have algae in your pool please let us know the details of the situation. If the algae is minor or just beginning, we may be able to perform our service and combat the problem by removing the "food" that algae feed off of. However, if the water is green we will not be able to utilize Reverse Osmosis (see following FAQs).

How often should I recycle my pool water?

We recommend every two years. However, if you just want that soft water feel or if your pool is used with high frequency you should consider having it done yearly. If it is a commercial/public pool, it really should be done at least yearly.

How does reverse osmosis compare to traditional pool maintenance methods?

Reverse Osmosis purification does not take the place of your regular pool maintenance. However, implementing this as part of your pool upkeep plan offers a more comprehensive and sustainable approach to pool maintenance, as it reduces chemical usage and provides long-term benefits for both water quality and equipment.
