In this article, we'll look at the history of luxury real estate in Park City and how it has evolved over the years. Early Days Park City was founded in the late 1800s as a mining town, with silver and lead being the primary resources. The town thrived during the mining boom in the Old Town area, but by the early 1900s, the industry had begun to decline. Skiing, however, was starting to become popular in the area, and by the 1930s, the first ski resorts had opened in the Park City area. The Rise of Ski Town Living As skiing grew in popularity, so did the demand for real estate in the area. The first ski-in-ski-out homes were built in the 1960s, and by the 1970s, the luxury real estate market in Park City had begun to take shape. In 1975, the first Deer Valley ski resort was opened, and it quickly became one of the most sought-after ski destinations in the world.
