Is it just me or are prices getting WAY out of hand? Are deck prices getting that astronomical?? We have had two customers who called us after getting quotes to build decks that were in the stratosphere!!! $$$$$$$ The Miller family (the pics with the rotten deck) had us come out after receiving quotes between 19,000 and 28,000 to replace their deck. (just the deck, not including the pergola) After talking about their goals for the project, they decided to keep thousands and thousands of dollars in their pocket by opting for a simple and super-functional patio! On top of the wads of cash, they got to keep in the bank, they feel like it makes their backyard feel much more spacious! The other photo is a young couple who, because their patio door was 37" off the ground, were told by several companies that a deck was their only option. Unfortunately, after 4 quotes (the lowest of which was right at $24,000 to build the amount of space they wanted) they were ready to give up when a friend of theirs referred them to me. Imagine their surprise when they were able to build the space you see in the photo with room for their furniture, a hot tub pad AND a place to put their fire pit for a fraction of the price of the deck quotes! With a new baby on the way (and if you've had them, you know how $$$ they are) they were pretty darn happy with how it helped with their budget!
