A homeowner in Concord, Massachusetts experienced a cracking and sinking concrete walkway. The sinkage caused massive puddling on the way to the front door. Looking to eliminate this issue and establish a cleaner look, she reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions. Our Design Specialist, Mark Proctor, recommended installing Poly Level and Nexus Pro to lift, level, and stabilize the concrete. Poly Level is a polyurethane foam that was injected underneath the sinking concrete slab. This fills voids, which stabilizes the concrete. After achieving the lift, our installation crew leveled the concrete. Nexus Pro was then installed to seal joints and cracks. This helps prevent further settling and cracking in the future, while also proving an attractive finish. With the concrete repaired, the puddling and trip hazards are eliminated. The homeowner now has a safe and inviting walkway.
