This project was truly amazing from start to finish. After the original windows were damaged from Laura in 2020, the homeowners decided they wanted to replace their sunroom area with windows and back door that matched the asthetic of the home. The original units were commercial style glass that offered low insulation and protection from the elements. After understanding their visions, we replaced all windows with Jeld-Wen Hurricane rated impact glass. Also, we doubled the width of their sliding door with a Low Friction Gliding Jeld-Wen Door (pictured on the left of the long wall). This door is of consistent style with the windows and has amazing function when opened. It provided an oversized 5 feet width of open walk way! All the while being rated for future hurricane weather. The finished look exceeded the homeowner's expectations! In fact, the exterior fountain can not be heard from inside when it is only 10 feet away and outside the sunroom. After the new units acclimated for a day, the homeowners confirmed this very large wall of windows had absolutely no change in inside temperature when compared to the rest of the home. That day the exterior was 32° in the morning! They were able to enjoy their coffee in the sunroom without freezing in that room or over heating the rest of the home. These projects are extremely motivating for me. Transforming someone's home that will forever be a massive improvement for the rest of their lives. I love what I do.. -Ray Butler...
