Winter is the time of year when the world slows down. The days are shorter. The trees and shrubs lay dormant. The cold suppresses the progress of nature almost as if time itself comes to a halt. But business has been anything but slow. The picture above was a Black Oak removed two weeks ago. It was bittersweet to remove as the challenge of removing such a large tree was quite enjoyable and yet a tragic loss of such a majestic tree. The base was close to 5 feet in diameter. The chips will be used for gardening and the wood will be cut and split for firewood. Housley Tree Co. has not slowed down and quite frankly we are still backlogged. Due to a high work load and limited help, it will be taking longer to get back to calls and around to jobs. We apologize for the inconvenience and assure you we are doing our best to get to you as soon as possible. Stay safe and mind the trees.
