I’d like to take a minute and share some information. Opie’s woodshop and more is a small veteran owned husband and wife team/business. We are primarily a small custom cabinet shop. We design,build,finish and install what we build. We also install tile and lvp flooring but primarily we are custom cabinet builders. nnWe are a small shop but we are capable of big things. We have the tools/equipment and skills needed to produce high quality projects. We apply custom finishes in our shops spray booth.’nnThis is not a hobby for us, this is our livelihood. We are not likely to be the least expensive you will find (quality isn’t cheap) but it’s not likely we are going to be the most expensive either.nnYes it’s true the lowest priced guy may not be the worst and the most expensive guy doesn’t mean he’s the best. But there is definitely reason to use caution with that guy/shop that is so much less than the average cost.nnPic I’ve attached shows what custom cabinets cost if you goggle search it. Many shops I’ve talked with are in the 500-700 per linear foot range. We are priced slightly less than that. nnLinear feet are the actual length of cabinets. Bases plus uppers. Tall cabinets arefigured as double because they are floor to ceiling ( so basically same as upper and lower combined). nnWe strive to give customers more than they get with somewhere else for the same kind of price. I’d like to think we provide a better value for money spent with us.nnRegardless of who you hire for your project, keep in mind if someone says they will give you high quality custom cabinets for less than 200 per lenear foot average something is very wrong. Just the materials alone cost that. A stock/ semi custom from big box stores will cost that much. n nAt Opie’s we do our best to be fairly priced while providing high quality work. nnWhether you use us or someone else, we want you to understand what custom cabinets cost in Mn. nnI don’t want to see people get taken advantage of by that guy that’s so much cheaper. You may luck out but most often you’ll end up getting what you paid for and not what they promised you.
