I am a Major Advocate of Copper Piping. Either Type M or even, Preferably Type L Copper Piping. Thuicker and, if installed properly, Why? Type M Copper Piping can last 50 + years or more. Type L Copper Piping, it is said, can last up to 100 + years or more. YES, COPPER PIPING DOES COST MORE, But Lasts More with fewer leaks. If Installed Properly. For underground water piping, I have Always Wrapped The Water Pipe with pipe Insulation. 35 years ago. I worked for plumbing companies, and they would install Plastic Piping(Quest Plastic Piping) for water-pressurized piping. Quest ended up being removed. I mean all of the Plastic Piping EVERYWHERE IN THE UNITED STATES WAS REMOVED. There is an Upgrade from Quest called PEX Piping. In the flowing link, I will talk more about the Experience I have heard from persons who install PEX. I went to go inspect a couple of houses that had PEX water piping installed a few years ago. Basically, 1 lady had a leak every year. Another lady had Plastic Water Piping leaks every other year. ETC. I have friends who like to use PEX. As I said, it is less to install. But The homeowners or Condominium owner has to deal with any leaks later. I will just state in the article post what I have come across over the years.
