Just wrapped up our first display garden at the NW Flower and Garden Festival! Our installation team did a great job making this all come together. With the theme,’ Here Comes the Sun’, we created a rustic and whimsical shed utilizing salvaged materials, just the right size for a playhouse or writers retreat. A break in a Spring shower allows the sun to shine through as the rain drips from the roof down to the reflecting pool below. Notice the sunburst theme reflected in the radial patterns of the shed, boardwalk, lower deck and sitting bench. A heavy flagstone path and stairway balance against intricately woven steel walls. Split firewood and the skins of tree trunks hold back lush multi-layered plantings in beds and pots. All this blended with artful touches of statuary, glass floats and birdhouses from local artists showcase the bounty that Spring provides.
