In winter, the channels provide refuge from high flows, while deep pools offer cool cover during the summer months.nnEngineered wood log structures (EWJs) play a crucial role in this transformation. By mimicking natural structures, they provide stability, reducing erosion and fostering more natural flow. Additionally, EWJs enhance habitat, offering protection and creating better spawning conditions for fish.nnWe’re excited to monitor how this site will continue to naturally grow and be an ideal habitat for generation after generation of coho salmon.
