Professional Tree Removal & Stump Grinding Services in Ames, IA

Removing a mature tree is a complex decision. Monday morning our homeowner contacted us with last-minute concerns about removing a silver maple. Our arborists understand the emotional attachment to trees, and prioritize safety. While the maple appeared healthy, a thorough inspection revealed hidden dangers: tip dieback (indicating decline), a precariously leaning branch, included bark and extensive basal rot. A neighbor's inquiry about the removal values the importance of community. Tree Hugger's Certified Arborists welcome the opportunity to explain the risks to both parties to make informed decisions. Faced with the potential for a falling branch or collapsing trunk, the homeowner prioritized safety and opted for a controlled removal. While difficult, this decision demonstrates responsible tree management. Tree removal eliminates immediate hazards and Tree Hugger prioritizes minimizing environmental impact. Wood can be repurposed, and new trees planted for future generations. Tree diseases are a constant threat. Tree Hugger offers proactive tree care. Our certified arborists assess trees, identify potential issues early, and recommend solutions – preservation whenever possible, or safe removal in critical cases.
