FAQs

Q: What is best over my kitchen island to best read recipes without glare or eye strain, pendant lighting or recessed lighting?

Pendant lights are most often put over kitchen bar counters and islands. The light is more direct and subtle, so there will be less shadows and glares.

What should we know before buying the ceiling fans?

The process for installing a ceiling fan will vary, depending on your layout. If you currently have a ceiling fan and would like to replace it, then is likely all that will need to be done is just the replacement of the fan itself.

Q: Do light bulbs for recessed lighting usually last months, weeks or years?

If the light bulbs are LED, you should expect to get a couple of years out of them. Modern recessed lights will not be installed with light bulbs, but rather LED trims. These LED light trims will last 10,000 to 50,000 hours and are very easy to replace.

What type of wiring do we need, and how long will it take to install?

The type of wiring you will need will vary, depending on the amperage and location of your Jacuzzi. Often times, a hot tub will need either 50 or 60 amps to run efficiently. This information will be provided by the manufacture.

Q: We would like to add an EV wall charger in our garage? Is it likely that any existing wiring will need an upgrade if we have an older home?

The existing wiring will be irrelevant to the EV charger application, as new wiring will need to be run for the EV charger only. What might be relevant to the existing electrical system is your main panel ampacity and your existing electrical load.
