FAQs

Are awnings worth the money?

In addition to the cost savings on energy bills, the return on investment for retractable awnings is great since the initial cost is minimal compared to adding a roof over your deck or patio. They also provide protection from the heat and sun, increasing how much time you'll want to spend outdoors. According to Grand View Research, installing window awnings can help to reduce electricity consumption, as it lessens solar heat gain by 65% to 77%. Our awning fabrics have also earned the Skin Cancer Foundation's seal of approval as effective ultraviolet light protection. If you are looking for a quality retractable awning installation, call us today for a free estimate.

How long do outdoor awnings last?

There are a few different material options for fabric awnings. Canvas is the most popular material for awnings and typically lasts for about 8 to 10 years when maintained properly. All our awnings are constructed using aluminum which holds up in the Florida weather and won't rust. If you are looking for quality motorized shades and awnings, contact us for a free in-home or on-site estimate.

What is the warranty on SunPro's retractable awnings?

The warranty includes 10 years on the hardware and fabric, as well as 5 years on the motor. When you are in need of a quality retractable awning installation, send us a message on our website. We can get you a free in-home or on-site estimate.

Can retractable awnings withstand wind?

All of our retractable awnings are designed for moderate wind conditions; however, your awning should be retracted when winds are strong enough to raise the awning. Leaving the awning exposed to excessive or sudden wind gusts may create damage. We offer a wireless wind sensor as an added layer of protection. If you are looking for reliable retractable patio screens and awnings, contact us today for a free estimate.

Can retractable awnings withstand rain storms?

All our retractable awnings are designed to shed light rainfall providing the pitch or slope of the awning is adequate. For an extra safety measure, we recommend retracting your awning when not in use. For more information or to get started with our awnings or a retractable screen installation to upgrade your porch or patio, contact us today.

You can find more info on the FAQ page of our website.
