Can you install a replacement window in new construction?

You can now replace your old windows with something that looks like new ones! With replacement windows, homeowners get to choose the style and color they want for their homes. This is an excellent option if you don't care about what's happening around it or need more space inside a home because these beautiful pieces hide all the framework.

Are windows installed from the inside or outside?

In many cases, you can install windows at least partially from the outside. However, every home is unique, and there may be some features of your home's window openings that require all or part of the replacement window installation process to occur inside.

What is the best time of year to replace windows?

Although possible year-round, the common consensus is Spring. The warm and sunny weather will ensure that the process isn't interrupted due to weather and that sealant elements cure correctly.

How many people does it take to install windows?

While depending a lot on the skill and capability of the contractor, most professional window installation companies have a team of at least 3 - 4 people. Given that said team can install anywhere between 10 - 12 windows per day on average, a team of this size should be able to meet the installation requirements of an average-sized home comfortably.

Are windows installed after sheathing?

Typically, the window is installed on a stud wall with sheathing only after the wrap for the house has been completed. It is then finished using a nailing fin and blended with the wrap using flashing tape.
