COMANCO COMPLETES THE FINAL STAGES OF EXPANSION ON A STORAGE POND IN FLORIDA. Another project concludes as COMANCO completes the final stages of expansion on a storage pond in Desoto County, Florida. Following the construction of the original 22-acre pond, our team expands the site by an extra acre. Altogether, providing our client with more viable storage space. First, the organic materials are stripped to extend the berm with new fill material. Then, technicians weld a new 40mil textured geomembrane to the existing liner. Once complete, the crew draws the lengthened liner over the berm and tucks it into the new anchor trench. Finally, they backfill the trench and sod the berm. Overall, COMANCO used 54,285 SF of liner and 1370 CY of fill material to complete the expansion. In light of the summer storms and Florida heat, our team was careful to protect themselves while also maintaining the integrity of the worksite. Our experienced crews are no strangers to challenges.
