Do I need to move out during the process?

Depending on the severity and extent of the damage, temporary displacement may be required. For instance, if the loss happens in areas such as the only bathroom in the house, the kitchen, or if there is damage in more than half of the entire house, you will then need to be displaced. On the other hand, if the damage is not extensive, we may be able to contain the affected areas and you may stay on your property during the cleanup and repair process. How long will it take for my property to dry?

Unfortunately, there are no set standards for the time of drying. However, the quicker we start mitigating the damage, the higher the chance of salvaging saturated materials we have, instead of ripping them out. There are a lot of variables that will affect the drying process. In our experience, a common timeline used in the industry is three days, but depending on the saturation of the affected materials, and atmospheric conditions, some dry-outs can take up to 10 days. Should I go through my insurance and file a claim?

We can come in to inspect and see if your loss might qualify for coverage before you even file a claim and if it's worth filing a claim. Nowadays, we hear clients getting non-renewal letters right after they have filed a claim, this is due to recent state-wide catastrophes such as flash floodings, and wildfires, so it's worth consulting an expert before filing a claim.
